This site collects very little, and I'd rather say so plainly than bury it in boilerplate.
Analytics. The site uses Google Analytics (GA4) to see roughly how many people visit and which pages get read. That sets cookies and gives Google some standard data like your approximate location, device, and browser — here's how Google uses it. I don't get your name or anything identifying from this, just aggregate traffic patterns. Analytics only runs if you accept the cookie banner shown on your first visit — decline it, or don't click either button, and nothing gets set. You can change your mind anytime by clearing this site's data in your browser, which brings the banner back. Clicking "Decline" does send one anonymous signal (just a running total count, no cookie, IP, or anything identifying) so I can see roughly how many people decline — that's it.
Search. Typing in the search box runs entirely in your browser — what you type is never sent to me or anyone else. The first time you use it, your browser downloads a small AI model (it's what understands what you're looking for) from two public code-hosting services, jsDelivr and Hugging Face. Those two see that a request happened, the same way loading a font or script from a CDN normally does, but never see what you typed.
"Suggest a place" form. If you submit a place through the Google Form, whatever you enter (place name, notes, and your email if you leave one) goes into a private spreadsheet I read by hand. If the place ends up on the site, I'll credit it as a "reader tip" — I won't publish your name or email.
Email. If you email lifewithbebenyc@gmail.com, that's just a normal email to me, read by me, not shared with anyone else.
What I don't do. No selling data, no ad networks, no third-party trackers beyond Google Analytics.
Questions, or want something deleted? Email me and I'll sort it out.

This is one family's notes, not an official guide. Everything here reflects my own visits and judgment — whether a stroller fits, whether a high chair showed up, whether the room felt welcoming. It's not a professional accessibility audit, and it's not a promise about what you'll experience. Places change: staff, layout, and policies can shift after I've visited. If a detail matters for your trip — especially anything accessibility-related — double-check with the venue directly before you go.
Some listings haven't been visited at all. Places marked "Reader tip" or "AI-suggested" are unverified: they're leads worth checking out, not firsthand accounts. Treat them with extra caution until they're marked verified.
AI-assisted content. I use AI tools to help research and draft parts of this site, including some listings and copy. I try to catch mistakes, but errors can slip through. If you spot one, let me know and I'll fix it.
