About

Hi, I'm the person behind Life with Bebe.

Since becoming a parent, I've found that the hardest part about going out in New York (or anywhere really) isn't picking a place. It's knowing whether the experience of going would be better than staying at home... A step at the door, no room for a stroller, a host who makes you feel like you're in the way: any one of those can turn a nice afternoon into a stressful one.

I enjoyed my life before the bebe, and I don't want to put it on pause. This site is my way of dragging my bebe along to as much of the city (and eventually the world) as I can, instead of staying at home. Turns out most places are more workable than you'd think, with some due dilligence.

So I started keeping notes. Some of what's here is verified: places I've actually been with baby. I try to keep note of the honest, unglamorous details that matter, like whether the stroller fits,or whether anyone warmed up to a baby at the table. Some of it is still a wishlist: spots I've found or heard about that sound promising, waiting on an actual visit before I can vouch for them.

By day I'm a data scientist and AI engineer, so this is also me tinkering on the side. I'm using AI to help build and keep this running, mostly in the open, mostly because it's fun to see what it can do.

Thanks for stopping by. It's a small, ongoing project: just a running list of my to dos, kept honest. If you've got a place I should check out, or feedback on the site itself, I'd genuinely love to hear it — send me a note.
